Why enrol in this course?
AMEP (Adult Migrant English Program)
You would like to improve your language speaking, reading and writing skills, or your digital skills. You may have no English skills, or may have a reasonable level of English.You may have just arrived in Australia, or you may have lived in Australia for a long time.The AMEP is an ongoing course; you can study for as long as you wish, until you are comfortable with your level of English. You can choose to study social English or workplace English. The AMEP also includes the Pathways to Work program, that is industry focussed and can help you get a job. Typical industries covered include beauty, aged care, child care and office administration. The AMEP also offers specialised short courses in topics like driving, swimming, citizenship and IELTS preparation. These courses can be as short as two weeks.
SEE (Skills for Education and Employment) program
You would like to improve your skills to help you get work experience, a job or into further study. These skills include English language speaking, reading and writing, as well as digital computer skills. You will also improve the skills that will help you get a job, like interviewing, putting together a resume, and job search. SEE offers a 5-step pathway that takes you right through from very low level skills, through to being ready for a job or further education. You can take as few or as many steps as you like, which means that you could be enrolled in SEE from two weeks to up to two years.
Visa Eligibility?
AMEP (Adult Migrant English Program)
The AMEP is available to migrants with a permanent visa or an eligible temporary visa, as well as Australian citizens who previously held a permanent visa or an eligible temporary visa.
SEE (Skills for Education and Employment) program
SEE is available to Australian citizens, permanent residents, or people who have working rights in Australia. You must be registered as a job seeker, including a volunteer job seeker. You don’t need to be receiving Centrelink payments.
