What is SEE Stream 4?
Do you want to go into further study and learn how to write academic texts in English?
SEE Stream 4 is an exciting and motivating program for progression to level III certificates. In this program, participants also get the chance to grow their knowledge and confidence in digital skills.
Stream 4 has been created for participants who already have an intermediate-strong knowledge of English, and need support toward further study. Ideal for participants who have completed SEE Stream 3 or have Proficiency in English.
5-step SEE pathway
The Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program has been separated into five streams, taking learners on a pathway from basic LLND skills, through to further education or employment.
What skills do you learn in Stream 4?
- PREPARATION FOR STUDY SUCCESS includes learning about the Australian learning landscape, working in teams, how to study successfully, library & researching skills, and more.
- LISTENING AND SPEAKING SKILLS FOR FURTHER STUDY include skills around listening to lectures and presentations, participating in tutorials, expressing ideas and opinions, oral presentation skills, and note-taking.
- READING SKILLS FOR FURTHER STUDY includes skills around reading academic texts and critical literacy. Also includes reading strategies and practice assignments.
- WRITING SKILLS FOR FURTHER STUDY include learning about syntax, grammar, and punctuation, proofreading, and writing in English.

- Length: 200 hours, or 10 weeks full time
- Outcome: Confidence, knowledge, and skills to enrol in Certificate III courses leading to sustainable employment
