Navitas Skilled Futures launches new SEE streams and pathways

By Rebecca Foreman | February 21, 2023

Navitas Skilled Futures has launched five new streams as part of its Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program, which will enable participants to pathway through to for work or further education.

Navitas Skilled Futures Business Development Manager, Michelle Foote, says that after evaluating feedback from the market, five new exciting streams have been created, enabling SEE program participants to better prepare for the workplace, based on their needs.

“The streams are designed to take learners and students on a pathway from learning basic foundation level LLND (language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills) right through to skills for further education or sustainable employment, and are suitable for clients with varying levels of English,” says Michelle.

The new SEE streams at Navitas Skilled Futures offer a range of skills targeted to clients of all backgrounds to improve not only essential skills – such as learning skills, oral communication, reading and writing – but also more advanced streams, like digital and numeracy skills, alongside extra support on Job-Search and application preparation for work or study. The new streams are highly inclusive, offering learners of all levels the ability to pathway to a better future.

Michelle says she is particularly excited about the entry level Stream 1: “This course caters to a student group who have very basic language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills, and may not have been eligible for SEE previously. With our new SEE stream, these students now have a place to improve the basic skills that will enable them to further their education or employment in the future. This is a wonderful solution for both students and consultants, who now have a place, and a pathway, within the SEE program.”

Michelle adds, “We believe everyone has the right to access skills for education and employment and we are very proud of the difference this course will make to the lives of future clients, particularly those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.”

All streams are available immediately at Navitas Skilled Futures Colleges in South West and Greater Western Sydney and cater for a wide range of participants. The courses are available immediately and range in course length and outcome certification.
