1. What will I learn in an AMEP short course?
AMEP short courses help you build practical English skills for a specific part of life or work in Australia. Depending on the course, you may learn English for driving, swimming, citizenship, digital skills or employment in industries such as construction, retail, health and food services.
2. How do I enrol in an AMEP short course?
Complete our online enquiry form or call 1300 798 111 to speak with someone in your own language. Our team will check your AMEP eligibility, discuss your interests and goals, and help you find an available short course that suits your needs.
3. How do I start an AMEP short course?
To start an AMEP short course, you generally need to be enrolled in the AMEP. Contact our team to discuss your interests and learning goals. We will check your eligibility, confirm which short courses are available and help you enrol in the option that best suits your needs.
4. Will I receive a certificate after completing an AMEP short course?
Yes. You will receive a certificate of completion after successfully completing your AMEP short course. If the course includes nationally recognised training units, you may also receive a Statement of Attainment for the accredited units completed. The document you receive will depend on the structure and requirements of your chosen course.
5. Where can I study AMEP short courses?
You can study AMEP short courses at selected Navitas Skilled Futures colleges in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. Course topics and availability may vary by location and study period. 6. How much does an AMEP short course cost?
AMEP short courses are free for eligible migrants and humanitarian entrants. They are funded by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs, so there are no tuition fees for eligible students. Free childcare may also be available while you attend your course.
